Users of DataServerSG, this is good news for you.
Although the above application has stopped working since 23 Jan 2019, I have managed to create an Excel spreadsheet to replicate most of its functions.

SGX historical data (Need to extract to C:\)
I use downloader to convert CSV file to Metastock data.
I download the raw data from SGX.COM. then I use Excel to clean up to CSV. Can only do SGX stocks.
I think I may still have a video how I did it.
Hi, I just came across about this today and was wondering if you got the TAR-Data up to recent ones as mine was more than few years back. I understand SGX only keep up to a week of EOD data. I am trying to explore your tools here if I could use the EOD data again which was kinda of not working ever since DataServerSG stop working. I could be reached via my email. SGX claims to archive the EOD data on the website for 22 market days. Well, you can use the excel spreadsheet to access historical data much beyond that.
I will try to update the TAR-Data, but it will not be so soon..
I will wait for your updated TAR-Data since the TAR-Data 22 May 2020 is way far compare to what is today’s date and year of 31 July 2022. Thanks in advance! Looking forward on your updated TAR-Data! Nice day.
I Noticed there is a “STI” folder under “TAR-Data” folder. It does not seem to pull the STI Index data but only data for the “SGX” folder. I wonder how does your Import-TAR-v3p8p2 get that STI Index or how do I get the “STI” folder updated? Thanks!

I got problem with TAR-Data 22 May 2020.zip.003 and TAR-Data 22 May 2020.zip.004. I was wondering if it is still possible to download those two files? Got the following errors ==>Database error: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1203] User “xxx” already has more than ‘max_user_connections’ active connections
I have no issue downloading the files. I believe the server was overloaded. You can try again.

Well, I have no problem running excel on 64 bit systems. Can you clarify further?
Hi, I am getting the error of Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications: Compile error: The code in this project must be updated for use on 64-bit
systems. Please review and update Declare statements and then mark them with the PtrSafe attribute. When I mark the Declare as PtrSafe I can run once and the excel autocloses after 1 run. Is this normal? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, when I click get SGX data, It pop up another software call visual which I also getting error message:

I don’t know what is Visual with all the coding stuff. What should I do next?

Hi, I face a new issue when using the files.
It pop up when I click on any button.
“Rutime error 2146697211 (800c005)
cannot find the resource specified”

Did you happen to block macros?
The files was ok on my 1st computer. When cut and past over to 2nd computer for my travel, those message pop.
How to check macros block?
To enable macros in Excel, follow these steps:
1)Open Excel:
Start Microsoft Excel and open the workbook where you want to enable macros.
2)Access the Trust Center:
Click on the File tab (or Office button in earlier versions) to open the backstage view.
Select Options at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
3)Open Trust Center Settings:
In the Excel Options window, select Trust Center from the left-hand menu.
Click on Trust Center Settings on the right side.
4)Enable Macros:
In the Trust Center window, select Macro Settings from the left-hand menu.
Choose the desired macro setting. Typically, you would select Enable all macros (not recommended as it can make your computer vulnerable to potentially malicious macros) or Disable all macros with notification (recommended, as it allows you to enable macros on a case-by-case basis).
5)Click OK:
Click OK to close the Trust Center Settings window.
Click OK again to close the Excel Options window.
6)Save and Close:
Save your workbook and close Excel.
Next time you open a workbook with macros, you will be prompted to enable them if you chose the “Disable all macros with notification” option.
